Bourbon is Gone!
Smyrna, Delaware – On Saturday, November 14, Painted Stave Distilling released Delaware’s inaugural Bourbon, Diamond State Bourbon Whiskey at noon and celebrated 2 years of business with an anniversary party that evening.
With a line out the door as 12pm approached, it was no surprise that the 160 bottles of small batch bourbon sold out in only 45 minutes.
Diamond State Bourbon Whiskey was distilled from a mash that is 65% corn, 26% Rye and 9% Malted Barley. Tasters noted flavors of vanilla, toffee, oak, cinnamon and nutmeg in the spirit.
Hours after the release, the 2 Year Anniversary Party brought hundreds more to the distillery. $1,700 was raised during the 2nd Annual Painted Stave Art Auction. All proceeds benefited the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation to support STEM education for young girls in Delaware.
A second larger release of Diamond State Bourbon Whiskey is planned for the end of February 2016 and will be available for purchase at the distillery and through distribution.
