Smyrna, Delaware – Painted Stave Distilling is on cloud nine after having been awarded impressive accolades from prestigious spirits competitions around the country.
The distillery’s Silver Screen Vodka and Candy Manor Gin both brought home Gold medals from the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition (LAISC) held on May 5-6. The Silver Screen Vodka received an impressive 92-point rating while the Candy Manor Gin was right behind with a 91-point rating.
As an expansion of the 75-year-old Los Angeles International Wine Competition, LAISC was established in 2007 and has since become known for it’s high standards and esteemed panel of judges. World-renown mixologists, journalists, bar owners and educators blind-taste and award medals to finest spirits from around the world that impress their astute palettes.
The LAISC awards complement two additional honors bestowed upon Candy Manor Gin. Late last month, the world’s largest gin competition held by The Fifty Best (NYC), awarded Candy Manor a silver medal, and the Wine Enthusiast, gave the gin 87 points and wrote it was a “well recommended, very good” Western Styled gin.
